Guidelines
In order to foster a vibrant and constructive community, we ask all members to follow the below guidelines when interacting with Long Angle members. Any member in violation of these guidelines will be removed from the community.
Maintain confidentiality
Most community members highly prize their privacy and are willing to share their experience and expertise because they trust that privacy will be respected. Similarly, we promise outside experts and deal sponsors that we will treat information they share with discretion. The identity of all members and the content of any discussions and any deal, or deal sponsor information is not to be shared outside the community.
No solicitation of any kind
Members are not permitted to post or comment in the Long Angle platform nor direct message nor email any Long Angle community members to look for investors, customers, clients, board positions, donations, paid referrals, jobs nor promote their goods or services. This same policy is applicable for any other medium or platform (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, X, etc). A member's service or product can be mentioned or recommended by another member if the initiating member has no financial gain from the referral.
If you see an interesting investment opportunity, please feel free to share with Matt, who will put it through our standard deal review process.
Direct investments only
Once an official Long Angle deal is shared, any investment with that sponsor has to be done through the official Long Angle investment vehicle, unless there is an express written acknowledgement stating otherwise.
Respect and positivity
Every member in Long Angle has demonstrated significant personal accomplishments, has been interviewed by the organizers, and has committed to following community guidelines. All dialogue should demonstrate respect for the perspectives of other members; disagreement is great, but please do not question the motives or intellectual rigor of those who hold different ideas. Be mindful with the use of words and expressions. Steer clear of politics, religion, etc.; we want all members to feel welcome, regardless of their political or other views. It is great to discuss how one can optimize within the current political/regulatory/tax regimes, and how those regimes may evolve in the future. However, please refrain from discussions about what government policies ought to be.
Real names
We believe that the quality and tone of dialog is enhanced by all members using their real names and identities.
Maintain commitment
To uphold the integrity and trust within our community, it is crucial to commit to your membership. If you choose to leave the community, it will be understood that our community may not be the right fit for you. As a result, we will respect your choice and remove you as a member indefinitely to maintain our standards and ensure a cohesive environment for all.
